The Farmington church of Christ is announcing our search for a full-time minister. The position requires someone who is well learned and educated in the Word of God of sound Bible knowledge, good face to face social communication skills and writing skills. Someone that will work with the elders with missions of the church including but not limited to Sunday morning and evening worship sermons, Sunday morning Bible Lesson and Wednesday evening adult Bible lesson at need visitation program and spiritual visitation programs, adult bible school teacher, men’s leadership program, family life teaching skills programs, fellowship edification program, vacation bible schools, WV Christian Youth Camp and gospel meetings. Singing emphasis and nurture a relationship with sister congregations in central West Virginia.
Individual specifics as to compensation or support, office business hours and other needs of the individual and congregation to be addressed during interviews.
The Farmington church of Christ is a Christian family bonded together by the blood of Jesus Christ a loving group of people from many backgrounds many retired coal miners and business people, young families, and a few widows all who love to be active in the Lord’s service. The church’s leadership is led by three elders. We are fortunate to be served by six deacons and wonderful bible school teachers. We are active supporting at need visitation program and spiritual visitation programs, men’s leadership program, family life teaching skills programs, fellowship edification program, vacation bible schools, India Missions, Supporting two India Widows, Kenya Missions, Potters Children’s Home, WV Christian Youth Camp and Pleasant Acre’s Assisted Living Center.
Farmington church of Christ Campus Complex is situated on a twenty (20) acre parcel used for playground equipment and soccer fields and home of annual overnight camper’s devotional shared by sister congregations. Church physical property consist of modern meeting house, bible study classrooms, fellowship, all purpose room and elders and preacher office with central heat and air conditioning. Also, on the campus a three (3) bedroom unfurnished preacher’s home with attached two (2) stall garage. Utility buildings that house’s property maintenance equipment.
