Rare Books

Some of the most valued pieces of our collection are found among our rare books. Visitors love browsing this room to see first editions of important works, centuries old hymnals, and even a Bible that dates back earlier than the King James. The rare books are a non-circulating collection, but can be used for research in the library. The hours for the rare book room are the same as the rest of the library. The rare book room is part of the Meredith Restoration History Archive.

Rare books are listed in the online catalog using the call number R.L. You can browse the catalog holdings of our collection here.
