Student Association

Since its formation in 1967, the Student Association (SA) has become an essential means of fostering unity and fellowship among the student body. SA has close ties with the administration, nominating members for standing committees of the school and making recommendations concerning policy.

In addition to planning chapel and initiating various student activities, the SA sponsors four academic awards at graduation. The four awards are: the Jack P. Lewis Ministry of Study Award, the Academic Award, the Hebrew Award, and the Velma R. West Greek Award.

The SA publishes a student newsletter and coordinates informal athletic activities throughout the year. The SA also hosts banquets, devotionals, picnics and campus movies.

Reid Stafford (B.A., Harding University)
Ministry goal: Share the good news of Jesus by providing pastoral care through ministry and chaplaincy.
Hometown: Memphis, TN


Vice President

Mark Potter (B.A., Harding University)
Ministry goal: Serve God’s kingdom by leading others into discipleship and deeper relationship with God.
Hometown: Charleston, SC


Secretary/Treasurer

Ministry goal: To provide spaces and direction for members of our congregation to grow in their faith and love for Christ and his Church. Ultimately, I hope to live out the Gospel and follow Christ with my eyes, heart, feet and hands. Romans 12:2

Director of Communication

J Massey (B.A., Bible and Family Ministry, Harding University)
Ministry Goal: To introduce people to Jesus and his kingdom. Currently serving as a youth minister with a local congregation.
Hometown: Wheeling, WV


On-Campus Representative

Deonté Watkins (Bachelors of General Studies from Georgia Southern University)
Ministry goal: My ministry goal is to be an effective minister of Christ, bearing fruit for His glory.
Hometown: Atlanta, GA


Off-Campus Representative

Clay Fowler (BS Art (Graphic Design), 1997; University of Memphis, Master of Arts in Teaching (Art K-12), 2011)
Ministry goal: Use my creative experience and gifts to help connect the message of Christ to those needing to hear it.
Hometown: I grew up in Plano, Texas, but have been in Memphis, Tennessee, since 1997
