Practicum and Internship experiences give students practical, hands-on training allowing them to build on things that they are learning in class. Students work with a mentor in the ministry or counseling setting as well as a faculty mentor at HST. Emphasis is on theological reflection of the student’s experience.
For specific degree requirements and practicum prerequisites, consult the academic catalog.
Forms and other information for Master of Divinity and MA in Christian Ministry students is here (this will take you off HST’s website to Dr. Gupton’s website).
MA in Counseling students should consult with Dr. Gray about practicum and internship opportunities and requirements.
