Mark E. Powell


Mark E. Powell, professor of theology, teaches courses in systematic theology, historical theology, and ethics. His research and writing interests include the doctrine of the Trinity, religious epistemology, and theology in the Stone-Campbell Movement.

Mark preaches at a church in Memphis and has also served in urban ministry and adult education. He is deeply interested in the intersection of theological scholarship, the ministry of the church, and spiritual formation.

Mark and his wife, Debbie, have three school-aged children. He enjoys sports, cooking barbeque, camping, and spending time with his family.
