Directions
FROM THE NORTH
On I-55 through Arkansas, you will merge with I-40 before crossing the Mississippi River into Memphis from the West. The instructions given FROM THE WEST can then guide you.
On U.S. Highway 51 through Millington, Tenn., plan to enter Memphis through Raleigh, a northern suburb of Memphis. Just beyond Millington, turn left onto Big Creek Church Road and then right (at the first stop sign) onto Raleigh-Millington Road. Follow Raleigh-Millington to Egypt-Central Road (red flashing light) and then turn left on Egypt-Central. Take this to the New Covington Pike Road. Turn right on Covington Pike, and follow it to Austin Peay Highway. Turn right and follow this highway to I-240 (overpass). Take I-240 East, pass exits for I-40 and Walnut Grove. Take the Poplar Avenue Exit West to Estate. Turn left on Estate and right onto Park Avenue (first light). Follow Park to Cherry Road, and turn left on Cherry. The School of Theology entrance is the second drive on the left.
If you are approaching Memphis on State Highway 14 (Austin Peay Highway), then follow the directions given above.
FROM THE EAST
From I-40 West, when approaching the I-40/I-240 interchange, get into far left lane. Do not exit; continue straight ahead onto Sam Cooper Boulevard. Take the Perkins Road exit, turning left onto Perkins Road South. Continue south on Perkins Road to Park Avenue. Turn right onto Park Avenue. Turn left at the first traffic signal onto Cherry Road. The School of Theology is the second driveway on the left.
On U.S. 72 (Poplar Avenue) approaching Memphis through Collierville, follow Poplar Avenue through Germantown, an eastern suburb of Memphis, and continue past the interchange at I-240. Drive seven blocks west to Estate, and turn left onto Estate. Turn right onto Park Avenue (first traffic signal). Drive west on Park to Cherry Road, and turn left onto Cherry Road. The School of Theology entrance is the second drive on the left.
FROM THE SOUTH
On I-55, take I-240 east toward Nashville, Tenn. Follow this highway past the Airways Road exit, past the Lamar Avenue exit and take the Getwell Road north exit. Follow Getwell until it ends at Park Avenue. Turn right on Park Avenue and go to Cherry Road (the third light). Turn right on Cherry. The School of Theology entrance is the second drive on the left.
FROM THE WEST
Crossing the Mississippi River on either bridge follow the highway signs as if you are going to Jackson, Miss. Continue on I-240 past the Jackson exit, watch for the Airways Boulevard exit and Lamar Avenue exit. Take the Getwell Road exit. Take Getwell Road north until it ends at Park Avenue. Turn right and travel to the third light, the intersection of Park and Cherry. Turn right onto Cherry. The School of Theology entrance is the second drive on the left.
